We are looking for a full-time Healthcare Navigator to join our team at our Gallup offices. We offer a competitive salary range from $43,000 - $48,000 (BOE) and the Benefits shown below. Summary:

Under the supervision of the MAT Coordinator, the Healthcare Navigator works to enroll eligible individuals into health insurance, in order to maximize opportunities to bill for services. They develop educational material regarding benefits and prepare and deliver training regarding insurance benefits to clients, at community events, health fairs, meetings, and other venues.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Healthcare Navigator: (Included but not limited to)

You'll report to the Mat Coordinator and:

• Performs key functions related to the success of the MAT program within Four Corners including patient outreach via telephone, community outreach, and office encounters, coordination of patient activities, and the appropriate utilization of services.
• Educates colleagues, clients, loved ones, and partners on healthcare systems and insurance benefits.
• Maintains appropriate training and documentation for successful third-party reimbursement.
• Works in conjunction with case managers and client engagement advocates to follow any changes with client's treatment/recovery needs.
• Ensures clients are aware of rights, and responsibilities, and take full advantage of benefits throughout their treatment and recovery.
• Coordinates services with case managers, the jails, the courts, and system partners.
• Stays abreast of changes to laws locally and nationally.
• Maintains ethical and confidentiality rules and regulations in accordance with HIPAA/42 CFR Part 2.
• May be required to perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

1. Knowledge of office procedures and of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and arithmetic.

4. Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data.

8. Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

Education and Experience:

1. HS Diploma or GED equivalent.

2. Bachelor's or Associates and/or training related to insurance eligibility and statutes.

3. At least two years of working with the SUD population in a clinical setting, outpatient setting, or care coordination experience is preferred.

5. Bi-lingual/bi-cultural (Navajo/English) preferred.

6. Must have and maintain a valid New Mexico driver’s license.
